About Freedom House Ministry

Freedom House is a place of refuge for girls who have been exploited and to provide holistic restoration and freedom in Jesus Christ.

This is a place where girls who have been exploited can receive prayer, counseling, mentoring, and a place to belong and be loved unconditionally.

Our passion is to give these girls opportunities to find their true identity in Christ and help them transition back into life on their own.

We encourage you to prayerfully consider partnering with our ministry to make a difference in the lives of these girls that desperately need our help. Contact us for more information about how you or your organization can get involved.

Freedom House is run by a board of directors.

Guiding Principles

Prayer

Ecclesiastes 8:3 “Don’t be too quick to leave the king…” We need God’s love, wisdom, and incredible provision. We believe in God’s miracles, including the parting of the Red Sea and victory over Jericho!

God’s Word

2 Timothy 2:9 “But God’s teaching is not in chains.” The power of His Word goes way beyond human comprehension.

Commitment & Safety

At Freedom House, we build trust by being consistent, dependable, and respectful to each other in a safe environment. We continually walk the journey together, as long as it takes!

Strength-Based

God has gifted each of us with strengths and we will encourage and build upon them. We will work together and desire to hear each person’s expertise from their own experiences and abilities.

Freedom

Luke 4:18–19 “The Lord has put his Spirit in me because he appointed me to tell the Good News to the poor. He has sent me to tell the captives they are free and to tell the blind that they can see again. God sent me to free those who have been treated unfairly and to announce the time when the Lord will show his kindness.”
The Holy Spirit has the power to change, heal, and free in each one of us.

Each Life is Valuable

Psalms 139:13–14 “You made my whole being; you formed me in my mother’s body. I praise you because you made me in an amazing and wonderful way. What you have done is wonderful. I know this very well.” The Creator of the Universe calls each of us valuable!

Celebrate!

Working through trauma and painful experiences is hard work. We will celebrate and encourage each of us in the healing process.

Community

We need each other, including the support of the whole community. God has called us to love and support each other. Exodus 36:6–7 “Then Moses sent this command throughout the camp: No man or woman should make anything else as a gift for the Holy Tent. So, the people were kept from giving more, because what they had was already more than enough to do all the work.”

Restoration

Psalms 80:19 “Restore us, O Lord God Almighty; make your face shine upon us, that we may be saved.” God, restore what has been stolen from us, physically, spiritually, and emotionally—7x7x7.

God’s Presence

Exodus 33:14–15 “The Lord replied, My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest. Then Moses said to him, if your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.” We so desperately need God’s Presence!
